“Chucky” Series Renewed For Season 2!

If you would have told me that in 2021 we would have a successful TV series based on Child’s Play, I definitely would have said that’s a great thought, but never gonna happen. And yet here we are and I couldn’t be more excited that the original creators and cast brought forth a truly fresh look, feel, and a fantastic story to the franchise many of us hold dear to our Damballa hearts. To boot, the series has been renewed for a second season to premiere in 2022!

Across all platforms, “Chucky” has reached 9.5 million viewers in its first season, and is a monumental reach for the “Good Guy” himself conquering the small screen as opposed to dominating box offices.

“We’re thrilled to start pulling the strings on a second season of puppet mayhem with ‘Chucky,’” said executive producer Don Mancini. “Many thanks to our partners at USA, SYFY and UCP for their incredible support and guidance bringing ‘Chucky’ to the small screen, bigger than ever. And to the fans, Chucky sends his still-undying thanks and a message: ‘This isn’t over, not by a long shot. You better watch your backs in 2022!”

The season finale of “Chucky” airs Tuesday, Nov 30 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on USA and SYFY. Season 1 of “Chucky” is available to stream on Peacock starting Dec. 1, 2021.

WATCH NOW: The Making of Rocky VS Drago, Rocky IV Director’s Cut

Ever wondered what a free film lesson would look like from one of the biggest Hollywood actors’/writer/directors’ in the game? Filmed by Sly himself on his phone and uploaded here via his official shop, Sly Stallone Shop (which is super badass by the way) we now marvel in Sly’s approach to one of the biggest franchise sequels of all time- ROCKY IV: THE MAKING OF ROCKY VS DRAGO.

This making-of documentary that is totally free on YouTube, gives Rocky fans an hour and thirty-three minutes of phenomenal life advice, his passion for the project, and exclusive clips from the upcoming one-day Fathom Event release of the film to be followed by an Amazon release the next day.

I truly can’t say enough great things not only about this series of movies but this installment, in particular, that is especially loved by collectively everyone. Rocky IV has always been a different beast apart from its predecessors with a slew of God’s greatest gift of montages shoved into a 90-minute film about world politics, tragedy, and a theme of change for the better; and it is just a damn beautiful thing.

With the absence of SICO THE ROBOT and the addition of Mickey in flashbacks (more or less taken from ROCKY V) taking place in this new cut, what I’m personally most looking forward to is a more dignified, albeit still sad, end to Apollo Creed with a much longer fight sequence between him and Drago. Also, more lines for the villainous steroid-pumping Russian boxer; who had more lines in the original teaser trailer than in the entire film. So that’s rather exciting!

New Trailer For Chucky TV Series Has ALL Franchise Characters Returning!

Sorry Jack, Chucky’s back… Again! Coming to TV for his own show on Syfy – but he’s not the only Child’s Play movie character returning.

The series ready to go on USA & SYFY October 12th, 2021 has not some, but ALL the franchises’ key players involved in what is set to be, Chucky’s finest hour and a full-circle karmic event that was set in motion over 30 years ago. Brad Dourif, the obvious here, is of course back voicing the killer doll along with his ex-sweetheart Tiffany, Jennifer Tilly coming back to the scene to rage hell once more. Fiona Dourif who plays Nica, Alex Vincent as Andy, and Kimberly Elise as Kyle all have a hand in Chucky’s new role in a small town in suburbia with newcomer Zackary Arthur as the new doll-bearer. Kind of like Frodo and the ring- you know such a heavy deadly burden and all.

Per the press release:

In the new television series, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos after a vintage ‘Good Guy’ doll turns up at a suburban yard sale. Soon, everyone must grapple with a series of horrifying murders that begin to expose the town’s deep hypocrisies and hidden secrets. Meanwhile, friends and foes from Chucky’s past creep back into his world and threaten to expose the truth behind his mysterious origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.

CHUCKY is produced by UCP and executive produced by creator Don Mancini, David Kirschner, Nick Antosca and Alex Hedlund. Harley Peyton will also serve as executive producer. Mancini, who penned the film franchise, wrote the television adaptation, will direct the first episode and serves as showrunner.
