‘Halloween Kills’ Trailer Is Here With The Return of Pure Evil!

Evil returns this October as horror fans return back to Haddonfield, back to him, back to the Boogeyman. From the few glimpses we’ve seen of it Halloween Kills already shows lots of promise for horror fans.

That’s right! At long last, we’ve seen the first trailer of the highly anticipated horror epic, Halloween Kills. And we are excited!

Following the immediate events of 2018’s triumphant Halloween, Michael Myers rises from the swirling inferno built to be his prison, like a demon emerging out of the fires of Hell.

Fire trucks arrive at the scene and the Shape makes quick work of each one of them, proving no earthly flame or human force can stop the purest embodiment of Evil.

And, according to this trailer, they want to drive home that Michael truly is the very essence of evil.

More noticeably now are the empty depths of Michael’s eyes, both hollow as an open grave site, and giving us a phantasmal glimpse at the malignancy within him. It’s as if whatever humanity (however little remained) may have been lingering in the man’s soul is finally dissolved by the hate and rage swelling in his heart. This time around Michael is truly the Shape more than ever before.

And I love the burn marks scratched across the iconic mask now. It makes the Boogeyman that much more ghoulish and unsettling to see.

And speaking of masks the movie teases at some (more) very familiar Easter Eggs and throw backs from movies past. I think Halloween III: Season of the Witch fans will readily recognize an iconic trio.

The trailer also reveals how Michael thrives off each victim he kills. And given the brief glimpses we’re shown the Shape does look far more savage than ever. So I’m expecting some wild kills scenes from this one.

It’s fair to say there will be (blood) plenty here for fans to enjoy and we’re very, very excited by what we’ve seen so far. It’s shaping up to be a wicked witching season this October, my Nasties.

So enjoy the trailer as we all anxiously await the Witching Season slowly approaching, bringing with it the Boogeyman and all his violent evil.

JAWS ON THE WATER “DIVE-IN” SCREENING RETURNS THIS SUMMER!

JAWS ON THE WATER “DIVE-IN” SCREENING RETURNS THIS SUMMER!

Just when you thought it was safe to get back in the water after a year and half long hiatus. I can hear that malevolent Jaws theme with this post. Can you?

The mega popular event hosted by Alamo Drafthouse and High Beam Events is coming back to Austin, Texas for not one, but multiple screenings starting on July 3rd, 2021! The much anticipated return of the legendary event takes place at Volente Beach on Lake Travis.

With a huge inflatable outdoor screen placed at the water’s edge with intrepid viewers watching the movie, you’ll float in inner tubes, with who-knows-what swimming in the inky depths below. As everyone watches Chief Brody and crew on the hunt for the Great White, you might feel something tug on your toes as scuba divers provide an added thrill to the proceedings.

Per the press release:

There are some pandemic-era changes to the event this year, most notably the organizers were not able to create new collectible inner tubes for the audience to float in, so everyone is encouraged to bring their own tube or inflatable device (but no floating doors, as this isn’t a screening of TITANIC).
Doors to Volente Beach’s water park will open at 5:00pm, allowing for plenty of time for beach play, water slides, food and drink, and anticipation or dread for sundown before the movie commences. Capacity is more limited than in previous years to allow more space for social distancing between attendees. Tickets are expected to go fast, so get your fins, and get ready to welcome back summer!

JAWS ON THE WATER DATES: Saturdays, July 3, 10 & 17

Location:Volente Beach Resort & Waterpark16107 Farm to Market Road 2769#Suite DLeander, TX 78641

‘Godzilla Vs. Kong’ – Has Mecha-King Ghidorah Been Confirmed?!?

News broke today – according to Collider – that GVK on set witnesses confirm seeing King Ghidorah’s skull hooked up and ‘made technological.’

This is – pardon the pun – titanic news! My imagination is reeling with the announcement and my earliest speculations of Mecha-Ghidorah potentially showing up could be proving to be true!

via Toho

Soon as the initial trailer for Godzilla vs. Kong hit the internet it not only broke records but it left many fans clamoring around the rumor mills with growing obsessions over the possibility of seeing one of Godzilla’s greatest villains making its appearance in the MonsterVerse, Mechagodzilla!

via Toho

Not to mention certain toy companies revealed Mechagodzilla as part of their future lineup. It’s all but certain we’ll be seeing a Mecha version of the King of the Monsters in the upcoming film. However, recent news has given way to the strong possibility that perhaps we may get a different kind of Mecha monstrosity, one from the Heisei era.

According to Collider:

“We walked on to the set, and there was a gigantic Ghidorah skull that had been wired up and made technological,” collider’s Matt Goldberg wrote. “It’s one of the cooler sets I’ve been on as it looks like they had taken the organic matter of Ghidorah and mechanized it into some new kind of mechanized creature.”

Yes! My theory was right! I knew that severed head would come into play as some kind of Mecha weapon! Goddamn it’s fun to be right! Read here for more on the subject.

This doesn’t confirm the appearance of Mecha-Ghidorah, who first appeared during the Heisei era and became an immediate fan favorite, but it does make it vastly more likely. It’s also possible the skull’s cells are powering none other than Mechagodzilla himself.

Unless we’re in for a double treat.

Two Mecha Monsters!

Now hear me out: you’ve heard me mention it before but we do have Godzilla bones still left untouched in the MonsterVerse that were introduced to us in 2014.

via Warner Bros and Legendary

We know these belong to Dagon, an old Titan and member of Godzilla’s rare species. I propose a possibility that would bring both Mecha terrors into the series.

Is it possible that Ghidorah’s skull is powering the tyrannical Mecha-King Ghidorah while Dagon’s bones power the Monsterverse’s Mechagodzilla?

“Oh no, Manic! You’ve gone mad with power!” Buah ha ha ha! I have indeed. But why not? I know that’s the direction I’d take us in if it were up to me. Go big or go home.

via Warner Bros and Legendary

Bottom Line
We’re getting a Godzilla vs. Kong movie, my Nasties! Can you believe it?! Even if the movie is nothing more than sixty minutes of those two famous monsters beating the shit out of each other it’ll be worth watching! This is a project I never thought could possibly happen and here I am writing (yet another) article about it.

via Warner Bros and Legendary

The two stars of the show are Godzilla and Kong, let’s not forget that and let speculations ruin our viewing experience. If all we get are those two big guys I’ll be thrilled. I strongly think there will be others in the movie, but Kong and Godzilla are the focus.

After all, speculating is helluva lot of fun, but they can raise expectations to unrealistic levels. So at the end of the day let’s celebrate our favorite monster and all the MonsterVerse is giving us.

Long Live the King!
