[Trailer] Halloween III’s Stacey Nelkin Returns to Horror with Eva Hamilton in “The Shed”!

Be it well-known to most horror fans that cult favorite Halloween III: The Season of the Witch’s female lead Stacey Nelkin has been MIA from the horror scene for several years, but she has been anything but forgotten as her fanfare is as strong now as ever. That being said, Nelkin, along with seasoned actress in horror Eva Hamilton (Ruin Me, Death Kiss) has teamed up with their own female-empowered horror motion picture company Mooncats to bring the power of 80s horror back to the fans in a series of films paying homage to the era of nostalgic horror; With the first one up, being THE SHED.

Per the press release:

“The Shed” – a new experience in vintage 35mm style Horror Film, exploring fortified Female characterizations.

Eva Hamilton and Stacey Nelkin star in a new 35mm style short Motion Picture, celebrating 1980s Slashers at their most elevated octave.

The Shed follows Whitney (Eva Hamilton, “Ruin Me”), a struggling escort, as she mitigates the emotional and financial toll of Adult Service work. After seeing an ad for a House Sitter as posted by a Christian Counselor, Whitney pursues an opportunity to house-sit at a luxury log home in the country.

Almost immediately, the eccentric and superficial charm of the advertiser, Barbara (Stacey Nelkin, “Halloween III”), makes Whitney uneasy as the two travel to an obscure location in the idyllic, foliage-lined countryside. After a tour of the house and a speedy departure from Barbara, Whitney finds herself isolated and jumpy in the darkness of the wilderness.

Gradually, Whitney begins to realize that “something here” – is very wrong. After a few glasses of wine and a joint, Whitney is horrified to discover that she is not alone, as she is confronted with a perverse and squalid predator.

As Whitney fights for her life, she slowly discovers a malevolent and devious plan constructed by a desperate and merciless Mother, who will stop at nothing to “feed” her deformed child.

Will Whitney survive the attack? Will she be able to battle Barbara and overcome two deranged perpetrators? Only a fiery, synth-wave-scored climax in THE SHED will tell.

The Shed will premiere in a limited fashion this October (2022) on Vimeo from October 7th – October 31st.

Actresses’ Stacey Nelkin and Eva Hamilton Launch 80s’ Horror Movie Company With Tribute to “Halloween III”

Are you ready 70s’ and 80s’ kids? Two horror scream queens from different generations have come together and co-founded what is now, MoonCats Motion Picture Company in three genre productions constructed for Domestic Distribution, Commercial Exhibition and Elevated Festival Programming.

Stacey Nelkin (Halloween III: Season of the Witch, The Twilight Zone) and Eva Hamilton ( Death Kiss, Black Goat) have formed a wicked partnership to bring fans of the genre the sort of retro content we nostalgic nuggets so desire. And so to boot, have launched an Indiegogo campaign for production funding hinting if the goal is met, a “VERY special tribute to Halloween III” will be made for fans.

Umm. Yes please.

In addition to several films already underway in the MoonCats company lineup that star both Horror alumni actresses’, next year’s slated October release Double Feature contains a double-horror anthology film intercut with vintage-style drive-in advertisements for an aesthetic feel.

Honestly? I’m so in.

Per the Press Release:

THE SHED (2021) and KILLER VIDEO (2022), two short 35mm films both actively in development, will be shot on location in undisclosed rural locations between October of 2021 and March of 2022.

Upon completion, both films will appear in an Anthology Feature film “Double Feature”, constructed for exhibition on genre streaming services and an exclusive festival programming slate.

SYLVIA (2024) continues to actively develop as the company’s initial Feature Presentation, following the story of an aging model who reassumes power by taking over Miami as a legendary Cocaine Smuggler.

MoonCat additionally launches its Production Services Department, offering Promotional Content Services, Concept Packaging and Original Synthwave Licensing to Independent Genre Filmmakers.

[Trailer] A Wickedly Profound Transformation Awaits In Lovecraft Inspired Series “Black Goat”

[TRAILER] A WICKEDLY TRANSFORMATION AWAITS IN LOVECRAFT INSPIRED SERIES "BLACK GOAT"

Move on over Black Phillip. The wickedly intriguing series, BLACK GOAT is coming so we may all live deliciously in a series brought on by the filmmakers and writers of The Call of Cthulhu and The Purge: Anarchy. And it looks ABSOLUTLY TERRIFYING.

The H.P Lovecraft inspired eight-episode gothic horror series stars Jeff Berg, Eva Hamilton, and Josie DiVincenzo with a story that spans more than 400 years of an ancient alien power that possesses and corrupts the souls of men. Each episode is a different chapter in time, each it’s own whole and complete story, and yet still just a mysterious piece of a much larger puzzle. Only when all fit together do we see the true shape, the true size of the horror.

Synopsis Excerpt:

The story begins in 1607, in the small coastal English settlement of Fort George, Maine. A humble settler, Ephraim Waite, and his devoutly religious followers break from the colony to pursue a more pious life deep in the untamed woods of Maine. Once settled, Ephraim’s wife finds a large, seemingly bottomless tunnel in the ground. It is surrounded and overgrown with strange alien vegetation. She is drawn to it’s powerful presence, seduced by it. Ephraim learns that the natives in the woods believe it to be a passage to an evil underworld, a supernatural power they refer to as Kamog. The power begins to slowly corrupt the village, both his wife and child die, and soon Ephraim finds himself faced with the ultimate choice, to turn from the darkness and perish or sacrifice his mortal soul for a promise of god like power and immortality. To become Kamog.

With the power to possess minds, and leap from one body to another, Ephraim (Kamog) moves through time, decade after decade, body after body, in pursuit of bringing a powerful ancient God to an earthbound form. The power comes at a price however, only minds that are weakened, vulnerable either by health or emotion, can be taken over. Possession is not always successful, and often Ephraim finds himself trapped for years, forced off his path, and fighting to return with deceit, manipulation and murder his only options.

I don’t want to give much more away, but if you’re interested in learning further, check out the FULL SEASON ONE SYNOPSIS over at DestroyAllMedia.com.
